What is a typical class like?
BodyUK delivers what many consider to be the most effective group training and bootcamp training solution in town. A typical class will be full of fun, energy and motivation, ideal for anyone who likes to exercise with a smile on their face. Classes are varied but will always include:
- body weight exercises (perfect for shaping and toning the body)
- interval training sequences (ideal for attacking weight loss)
- music-conditioning circuits (great for keeping you motivated)
Many of the exercises we teach you will be totally new to you, but some we hope you might have come across before. You will be able to exercise at your own level, but we will also challenge you with group-based goals along the way. BodyUK members are friendly and supportive and are of varying levels of fitness. BodyUK coaches adapt techniques to ensure everyone enjoys classes and can achieve results. We consider the friendliness of our sessions as a priority to ensure our classes retain their popularity.
Do I already need to be fit?
No. We have members of all fitness levels within our bootcamp sessions. This actually makes training more fun. We do want you to work hard though and aim to truly help you achieve great fitness results week on week, so you will need to be ready to jump in. You might not think you are very motivated at the moment, but our style of coaching and support could have you achieving things with your health you might have thought impossible. Every exercise available has different levels of intensity, so there will always be a perfect level for any work-out you take on. We have had members from the ages of 17 through to 66. There is no age-limit to feeling fit, healthy and achieving your goals.
Do I need to attend a fitness assessment before I start?
No you don’t have to attend any fitness assessment before you start. Many of our members brought a friend with them for the first session as a way to have a familiar face within the group. As long as you feel ready for action we would love to invite you to come and join us. We often host free taster sessions. Many opt to come to a free taster / trial bootcamp class before becoming an official BodyUK Bootcamp Member. You can simply join right here today if this helps you to take action. As soon as you let us know you are interested in joining we will book a time, convenient to you, to meet 1-2-1, on the phone or face to face. This will allow us to hear exactly what you want to achieve with your personal health and fitness over the next 4 – 12 weeks. Our coaching team is made up of highly skilled Sport Scientists and Personal Trainers and we aim to help you in any way we can towards your goals.
Do I need to check with a doctor before I go to class?
All members are asked to complete and sign a health questionnaire before they start. You can either do this on-line as soon as you register for a free trial class or membership. Alternatively you have the option of booking a free consultation when you contact the team. If you do so, we will help you with the questionnaire when we meet. If you have any questions about your personal health and you are not sure if this will affect your opportunity to join us then please contact BodyUK now and speak with one of our team. I’m sure we will be able to set you onto the best path for success.
Can I register at any time?
Yes you can register at any time, but we ideally want to hear from you before we get you moving. As soon as you join as a member or for a free trial we will send you a health questionnaire. This is nothing serious. It’s just a great way to get to know who you are and what you would like to achieve with your personal health and fitness. Each month we host free trial sessions for all members and interested individuals and friends, so you might choose to come along to one of these sessions first. You can also jump straight into training with the BodyUK Members if you choose. Your training starts at the beginning of the month every month. As soon as you join as a member we will set up your official start date. The chances are you will not be the only new member when you begin, so there is no need to worry about being “new”. You should have a great time.

What should I wear? Do I need any specialist equipment?
We want you to feel comfortable, so wear something that has you ready for action. Sports clothing is a good choice and a good pair of outdoor running shoes are a must. You will be exercising on grass mainly, so depending on the weather you might get a little muddy, but that’s all part of the fun. Water-proof coats are often a good idea. Remember you can always take layers off if you get too hot. Please arrive in your kit if possible. We will be exercising in the great outdoors and many of our boot-camp locations do not have access to changing areas. We take care of all equipment you need to train. If you feel you would like a mat then please bring one with you. There are parts of every session where these could be used, but it is in no way a must and you will still be on the grass at times throughout each session.
Where do I put my valuables?
We look after valuables before each session. However, if possible, we recommend you do not bring valuables to training.
Do I need to bring my own water?
Yes. We do have mini water breaks throughout training, so you will have time to fit it in to your workout. We recommend drinking water over any other drink during exercise. If you want to change your body shape, size, weight and fitness levels in the shortest period of time then drinking water is the way forward. We will teach you about this within your Monthly Membership Coaching plan. All our members gain access to this on joining. This is part of the reason why the BodyUK Bootcamp has been listed as ‘A personal training programme within a group class environment’.
How much is Bootcamp?
We have three packages you can choose from:
- Free Trial Class – We are often encouraging our members to invite friends and family to come and join us for a trial fitness class each month.
- Each session is designed to get you moving and burning calories in the most efficient way possible. Our 6 week programme costs just £120. With this you will gain all the coaching and support our team has to offer.
By becoming a member you are able to build a great supportive team and community that really help one another achieve great things in health. Your personal fitness results could be dramatically improved and our coaching team will be on hand to help you every step of the way with face-to-face and online coaching and support. We used to offer a pay-as-you-go option, but deliver it to you as part of your Free Trial Class and Membership
What results might I see after the first week?
BodyUK prides itself on the ability to help members achieve fast and measurable results. If you commit to training and aim to join us for at least 2 sessions a week, you should achieve great results within just your first month of bootcamp. In week one you will learn how to perform the fitness movements that will help you gain great health within a short period of time. You will gain access to our nutritional guidance programme and you should start to enjoy exercising again, which is the main thing. If you commit to your success and your goal is weight-loss specific then you could lose weight and feel stronger and healthier than you have in years.
What results may I see after the first two weeks?
Week two as a new member will see you learn the habits required to help instigate change within weeks, not months. You will be able to follow our nutritional guidance plan, The Better Body Plan, better known as ‘TBBP’ and you will be taking on training sessions that could help to obliterate fat from the most stubborn places. We will even give you access to home workouts that are aimed to keep your metabolism ticking over in and around your classes. Week two is where your body should start to take shape physically and mentally, especially if you have followed our training system daily. Things should really get exciting for you by the end of week two and you should be filled with confidence for the future. If your goal is weight-loss and toning, you could lose weight and see a change in your body shape within just 14 days. If you choose to take on our “before and after” picture challenge then you may soon be able to see more toning and shape around your face, arms, love handles and stomach.
What results might be achieved within 4 weeks?
We are all different, we understand that, but getting fit and healthy is a science. This is why we do not train you like the army, we do not shout and scream and we don’t just leave you to continue to eat badly after your workouts. We coach, educate, motivate and guide you towards success daily with: fitness classes, online coaching tools, social media groups, access to BodyUK coaches 24/7 and social events for you and your friends. You have to have fun along the way right? So if you immerse yourself in training and the BodyUK community your personal results could be enormous. If your goal is weight-loss then you could be a clothes size down on where you were just a month ago. You should feel more energetic, livelier and far more confident. You may have lost weight within just 30 days and your body shape and size should be far more toned and ready for what the world has to throw at you. Many of the before and after pictures shown on the BodyUK website are taken of individuals over a period of 3 weeks to 6 months. Many of our Bootcamp members continue with us for longer than just 30 days and really make our classes a central part of their fitness routine weekly. We hope to help you become our next success story.
How often do I need to training to get results?
You have free choice as to how often you train with us each week. Those who achieve the best fitness transformation train with us 2 times minimum per week. But we also understand that life is busy and you might have other commitments that pop up unexpectedly. Every week we open the door to you for all sessions on offer. We also send you coaching support online, which helps you stay on track with training and good nutrition even if you are at home or away on holiday or work. We recommend that you commit to attending a minimum of 2 training sessions a week, but we will not evict you from BodyUK if you simply drop in and drop out. Over the next few months we are opening up new training locations in your area, which you will immediately gain full access to. Can I get help with my nutrition as well as exercise?
Yes of course. We have helped people who require all kinds of nutritional needs when it comes to gaining great health. We actually include a library of recipes and nutritional coaching with your membership. We invite you to take on ‘The Better Body Plan’ Nutritional Guidance Plan when you join. We also want to make your experience personal to your goals, so feel free to ask a BodyUK trainer any questions you might have about your eating and nutrition.
Do you use music?
Yes – With sections of our workouts we actually use music as a huge motivator. We have had personalised music created for our sessions and workouts that perfectly empower your workouts to ensure you get the most from each session. We discovered that if we can improve your training experience and enjoyment, then you are much more likely to gain the fitness results you desire. There is no pop music, hip hop or opera though. Our music brings the beat that will have you working with more energy than ever before. You have to come and give it a go for yourself.
Do you use music within every session?
Our aim is to make sure you have a brilliant time achieving great results with your health. The BodyUK Bootcamp is not a dance class it’s a body-weight bootcamp that has great energy, attracts great individuals and could help you achieve great results. We like to use our music system within most of our sessions, but not all. So you will experience both.
Does the weather affect training?
Not really – When the sun is at its hottest we aim to find shade. When the rain is coming we aim to find shelter. But to be honest we see this as part of the fun. We understand that ideally we do not want to be rolling around in the mud in December, but hey let’s get stuck in and have some fun with it. You might have come across one of our videos where we have a little fun training in the snow. There is always a way to get you moving, so we hope this doesn’t put you off. We all spend far too much time indoors nowadays, so take this opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors. If for some reason training is cancelled due to bad weather (usually ice) then we will contact you personally hours before your session is due to kick off. Your safety is a priority.
Can I train in more than one location?
Yes all members have access to all training locations and times. If you have any questions about what location would be best for you then please contact the BodyUK team today. Most of our members train at their local location weekly, but it’s a great fun to try out new training locations now and again to keep you motivated.
